Month of the Holy Souls Blog Post Roundup
During the month of November the Church provides us with a unique focus on praying for the holy souls in purgatory. This is not meant to end with All Souls Day on November 2nd, but to continue throughout the whole month. Although we are encouraged to pray for the faithfully departed every day of the year, November is a special time of remembrance. In the United States, it is a time when the fall season is in full swing and in many places around us nature is decaying and preparing for its winter rest. This time is a call to mind for us, too, that we will die and that those who have died before us need our prayers. Let us not fail to remember them this month. Below are six previous blogs to educate and encourage you on this ancient and necessary practice of praying for the dead.
